Brief 

This project is an interdisciplinary collaboration between students from PBA Jewellery, Technology and Business, students from Production Development and Integrative technology (PTI) elective module from KEA Teknik and Nantia Koulidou, Course Leader for BA Jewellery Materials and Design with focus on designing digital jewellery.

Design a digital jewellery from a poetic perspective.

​

The goal is to define the user research, design a digital prototype (proof of concept), and conceptually open the idea up to frame a broader target group.

The theme is changes in womanhood through the different stages of life.

Pedra

Life presents many paths to follow. As we wander far from home, the distance from our past and loved ones grows. Inspired by the timeless beauty of a stone washed up by the sea, Pedra is a smart brooch that allows you to carry a sense of home with you wherever you go.

The detachable pebble nestled at the center of the brooch, is designed to be removed and held in the palm of the hand, a grounding connection to the present. Pedra’s inner light glows when you face the direction of home, establishing a bridge between your past experiences and your journey going forward.
